WORK
TIC TAC TOE
A throwback to one of everyone's favorite childhood games, this online version of Tic Tac Toe was the very first program I ever built completely by myself using jQuery/Javascript. Software/Languages/Frameworks used: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Javascript { Look at my code } { Live app }
PET-FINDER
This is a full MEAN stack utilizing API from Pet-Finder, an organization that has a database of all the adoptable domestic animals in the US, and the shelters that house them. Features include two different ways to search; the user can input their zipcode, animal type, breed, and gender from a dropdown menu. The second option enables the user to put in a zipcode and view all the shelters affiliated with Pet-Finder, along with their contact informtion. Once the user is signed in with a valid ID/password, they can create a wishlist of the animals they are interested in getting more information on to save and view at any time. Software/Languages/Frameworks used: MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js, EJS, HTML, CSS, Sessions, Angular.js, RESTful routing { Look at my code } { Live app }
Just The Tip
An adult advice forum, this app is full CRUD and follows the Rest architectural style, allowing users to submit posts in which they can edit and delete. Users can also comment on posts, which can also be deleted. Software/Languages/Frameworks used: Node.js, Express, EJS, Mongoose, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, RESTful routing { Look at my code } { Live app }
Scattergories
This is, hands down, my favorite game, so it is no surprise that I had to create an online version. This was built as I was learning jQuery, and becoming more deft at Javascript. In order to truly put my own unique mark on it, I chose a high contrast and dramatic color scheme, creating the page's backgrounds in Adobe Illustrator. Software/Languages/Frameworks used: jQuery, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Adobe Illustrator { Look at my code } { Live app }
ABOUT
Art & coffee conneissor, code enthusiast, and all around misfit
Hello! I'm Stefani, a passionate and driven full stack web developer and graphic designer here in Austin, TX. I’m obsessed with design, and then turning that design into something real, something with a purpose. I don’t agree that people are either right brained or left brained, destined to be artistic and subjective or analytical and objective. I consider myself a combination of the two, intertwining logic with creative expression. Both a graphic designer AND code enthusiast, I am able to utilize my knowledge with design principles to dream up a beautiful application, and then use my skills as a programmer to build and connect the pieces. Being a new developer, my curiosity and hunger keep me constantly learning new skills or honing the ones I currently have. The ability to understand how both parts of the development process work together is a powerful asset to me, my clients, and coworkers.
I love to explore new foods, share a private joke, laugh until my cheeks hurt, listen to music that moves me, and beat you at Scattergories. You can usually find me over my laptop, headphones on, completely immersed in the world of web development and design.
